The purpose of Bowerman Collection is to share this privately-owned collection of Modern and Contemporary art with the public. The Bowerman Collection regularly lends works to a wide range of national institutions.

Loan requests must include the following information:

  • Full details of the artwork(s) with stock number requested for loan
  • Exhibition title, dates and venue(s)
  • Background to the exhibition/reason for loan request
  • Venue Facilities Report

    Works from the collection can be loaned to institutions nationally, subject to the following conditions:

    • The work will not be released until loan agreements are completed and signed and insurance certificates have been received;
    • The borrower is responsible for insuring all loaned works in the name of The Bowerman Charitable Trust for ‘All Risks’, including terrorism cover, on a ‘nail to nail’ basis;
    • The borrower must meet all costs associated with the loan which will be set out and agreed in advance. These include packing, insurance, transportation;
    • Condition reports, with digital photographs, must be completed upon unpacking and repacking the artwork and sent to info@bowermancollection.com;
    • Digital installation images, copies of exhibition catalogues and published materials, press coverage and visitor numbers are to be sent to info@bowermancollection or posted to:
